Choose quality after choosing the film
HD, 1080p and 4K describe different picture resolutions. They do not tell you whether a particular edition has good compression, the correct aspect ratio, a preferred soundtrack or subtitles. A sharp poster on MoviesToWatch is artwork, not evidence of a 4K video stream.
A phone and a television ask different things
On a small screen, a stable HD picture can be more useful than a higher-resolution stream that pauses repeatedly. On a large television, a well-encoded 1080p or 4K edition may show more detail.
